1st time this has occurred. Mower loses drive. Initially freewheel control lever had relocated itself to back position (freewheeling) while mowing. Reset. After more mowing it lost drive again. Freewheel lever won't hold back position but freewheels anyway. After some idle time, will reengage both forward and back positions, and drive. But not for long. It either drives or it doesn't. No creeping. No oil leaks, no grass buildup.
Any suggestions? Thanks,

How is your drive belt?
Belts are all good. No grass buildup anywhere.
Drive seems to fail now after just a few minutes use, and always on a particular slope - mowing across a (gentle) left to right slope.. left side of mower is higher.
This morning no drive in that position, but drive when turned around, when right side of mower was higher. I'm thinking low transmission oil, or old oil.
Thoughts?
I'm about to pull it apart.
Thanks,

Got as far as taking the trans out to replace oil.. turns out it's not a K46, but a CVT trans (model unknown). As far as I can see, no option to add any fluids/lubrication.
Mower seems to work ok when the freewheeling lever works correctly (positivity locks in and out, both positions). But when issues occur, that lever will be in one position only, and won't engage the other position. So far that lever regains locking into both positions after a number of hours of no use (cool down?).

General Transmissions RS800P.

Unless the grease has leaked out then none is needed to added. And even some has leaked out it not necessarily need grease added. Here is example of leak out that didn't need added grease; looks worst than it actually was. Grease and grass had covered inside of one wheel. Sorry don't access to the picture right as that computer is down.

Probably need to pull the unit and check plastic control parts. They do go bad.

If it has a CVT, then that actually makes sense. I've had several riding mowers that had similar problems dues to a worn CVT belt, the thick belt on top of the transmission. With mine, I didn't want to have any more problems, so I ordered a GENUINE GT37401 CVT belt (dont waste your money on anything other than oem), took everything apart other than the gearbox (good time to clean out the debris too), and followed a Husqvarna video of putting it back together correctly, and it worked perfectly. I didn't have any more foot pedal sticking issues, no super weak drive, etc. Hope this helps!
