Hello all, Any thoughts or help appreciated on this. I’vea Husqvarna Royal 48s walk behind mower which won’t self propel. Mower start and runs fine allowing me to cut still by pushing but it’s become a chore and is a pain now! Underneath looks like a rubber wheel should come in to contact with the spinning wheel powered by the belt/engine, when I pull the lever nothing engages, I’ve tried cable adjustments to no avail. I’ve noticed when pulling the drive lever out dissent seem to do much to what it’s Attached to if that makes sense. Any help appreciated. Thanks
Thanks for the reply, here’s some pictures, the black wheel dissent come into contact with the transmission wheel the belt is on, not sure how it should work and can’t find anything about this model
Looks similar to the tried and true Snapper drive system. Looks like a cable adjustment of some kind. Can you download the manual for that mower? If so does it offer any info on the drive system? I see 2 cables under there .
I’ve tried the clutch Cable adjustment, it didn’t seem to do much tho when handle is pulled, it has a spring attached to it at the handle end also. I have taken the cable out and checked it moves freely, I’m thinking maybe it’s the part the clutch cable is connected to under the mower, perhaps it’s seized up. Here’s the diagram.
The cable on the right of my picture is the speed control and left off that is the clutch, I assume when I pull the lever it should engage the pulley onto the drive belt wheel but it dissent move, the speed control dose raise and lower the belt wheel.
