I have a Husqvarna MZ5424S Zero Turn Mower, I mow about 5 acres every week. It's that time of year and leaves are falling. I have the mulching kit on the deck. When going forward it cuts the grass and mulches but leaves big lines of cut up leaves. When I go in reverse, while cutting, It does a SUPER job of mulching and spreading the pieces almost as if the lawn was raked. There is a huge noticeable difference from going forward and going backwards. I can't drive in reverse all the time. The mower cuts so much better going in reverse Any Suggestions?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have the blades on upside down possibly?

The short explaination is when going backwards the clippings get cut from right to left by tge back of the deck
They then travel a full revolution of the deck ( right to left then left to right ) so basically the clippings are under the deck for twice as long before being deposited so get cut up finner .
It is also a function of the deck design
Universal decks are exactly that
Mediocre at discharging
Mediocre at bagging
Mediocre at mulching
