Hi Team, First Post, have done lots of work on this ride on mower but this one problem is beating me, this spring that runs along one of the rods to the Carburettor, think it my have something to do with the Carburettor Governor, can't find any hole it goes in, has someone got a photo of where it goes plus tell me where it fits into. Cheers

Looks like there is a small hole directly under the throttle link to the right of the white bushing on the throttle shaft of the carb. If not there, on some carbs they would connect the end of that spring in the same hole as the throttle linkage.
Thankyou i was tempted to put the into the plastic bushing as there is no extra hole, on my way home shortly and will place it there, Cheers and thanks again for the reply..

That is to prevent "throttle hunting" especially when at idle. The rod ends have a very small amount of play in the holes they fit. The tension spring takes up that play so the throttle stays steady like it should.

That spring shows to be stretched on the end quite a bit, so it may not hold proper tension.

Well my mistake there was a very small hole next to the plastic bush, how I missed that I don't know, did eventually get it ok, spring in photo shows it does look stretched but appears to be doing it's job of stopping engine hunting on tickover, mowed the garden for two hours 2day with no issues, thanks for your help.

You can shorten the spring to get better tension if needed and form a small loop on cut end.
