I am new to lawn tractors and new to the forum.
I just picked up an Ariens Ht 18 with couple issues.
1. Battery was dead, but cranked over when jumped and carb cleaner sprayed in it, ran without back fires..Good
2. Steering bevel gear is broken at the back where the pinch bolt goes through so no bolt, no back half of gear holder and no steering- this part is listed as discontinued everywhere. I am sure I am not the only one in need of one, anyone know someone who refurbs these with some welding?
I need a couple parts, 1. a carb rebuild kit, spark plugs, selenoid (or upgrade kit), steering bevel gear with bolt and a service manual.
I am open to any offers for parts, I have paypal ready an waiting, or I am up for a road trip as well.
