I need help in setting the governor and linkage to the carb on a GX75 rear engine HP Kawasaki. I set the governor by pushing governor lever to the right to open carb to fuel throttle and then when holding it pinned to right I rotated governor shaft clockwise to stop and tightened bolt to lock. When I start mower there is very little throttle up range on the throttle lever. With only a half inch movement up the machine is already racing at high rpm. Any suggestions and or service instructions will be greatly appreciated !!!
Thank you Rivets for confirming that what I had done was correct for governor adjustment. Any thoughts on why I still have such limited throttle handle range response (idle to racing with very little movement of the throttle lever)? does it have anything to do with the spring loaded screw inside the bracket located above the governor shaft and arm ? I've tried adjusting that screw a little in and out without a change in the abnormally quick to racing throttle lever response. I can send picture if it will help. Regards, Richard
