When I serviced my Braggs stratton this morning, I accidently pulled the carburetor too hard to get it off, then this part that connected to the vavle inside was broken.
How to fix it? Is there a part that I can buy to replace the valve or have to replace the whole carburetor?
What's the carburetor model # and where is the best place to buy?
My mower is briggs stratton model 80000 /9000]as shown in manual picture.
Thanks
I have never seen a rebuild kit for these carbs that contains the choke arm, axel or butterfly .
The bit you have broken is the choke arm
BE careful as there are a lot of variations to this carb .
Go to the B & S web page armed with the entire set of numbers , model, code, type & serial
With that you can find your correct parts book and from that the correct carb part number .
As you are a rare type of owner that keeps their owners manual , when you find the numbers on your mower write them in the book so they will be at hand when you need them.
As Bert stated there are a lot of variations of this carb. You will need the model, type and code numbers to see which variation you have. Does the engine have a QR box on it. Using the QR reader on your phone or pad will give you these numbers, post back with your findings.
