hi, am replacing my b&s magnetron,but don't see how to ge the plug wires thru w/out removing flywheel.it's a jd model116 with a 16hp b&s.any ideas?thanks
OK.got that figured out.Now I have replaced the magnetron coil.ran good till it got hot then no spark.put in another magnetron coil and it ran good till hot.any ideas?loc
Post all engine numbers including code: model xxxxxx, type xxxx, trim xx & code. Are you using B&S OEM part? Not aftermarket? Also clean engine by hand with shop rags or towels, I prefer using a shop vac after loosening everything up, crud, dirt, etc. Also check air filter for replacement as well as changing oil & filter if oil is black. Make sure underside of flywheel is clean & nothing stuck to magnets.
