How long does it take snow to leave?

How long do you have snow in your area? It is usually June before it is completely gone here and even then you can still find it in parts of the woods.

I think it depends on how much rain we get in Spring and how warm the temps are.

Up in your area the frost line goes pretty deep...
As long as the earth under the snow is still frozen, it will take a lot of solar BTU's to melt the snow, especially the snow that is shaded by the trees.

Around here most will be gone with a few days above freezing, we rarely get a frost deeper than a few inches... I'm suspecting you get a frost to a few feet... :smile:KennyV

Usually all gone by March around here. Although, there have been a few exceptions to this. Last year it was on the ground until April 15th.
