Is it a good deal? That depends. Where or do you have some place that can do or does warranty work. Just be aware that from Amazon your probably or my guess would be your getting last years mower. That new $499 EGO at home Depot is a 21" not a 20" and it's a 5.0ah battery not a 4.0ah that's why it's a little cheaper. It should have a five year warranty which is great and IMO at that price it's a average deal. The EGO 4.0 20" mower sells or sold online at $449 at home depot, not $499
That is the original EGO mower. The new version, as stated, is a 21 inch mower with several improvements. They even make a self propelled version now. Too me, it would be worth the extra money to get the newer version, with the improved technology, than the original one.
