I put down some granular weed and feed for the first time and am not sure if it's doing anything. I put it down last weekend and the weeds look the same. I have used the spray on type broad leaf weed killers and in a couple days the weeds were wilting. With this stuff i'm not seeing anything happening yet.

I'm pretty sure I put the right amount down I have one of the spreaders listed on the package so I just set it to the number they said.

Hi Msaeger

Some of those granular need watered or rain for them to work has it rained since you put it down or watered, and if the temperature has been cold that that will affect it to as to how fast it works. If you put it on like the bag said and at the right setting it should work ok ,i see you are in Minnesota to and we have been having cold weather and you probably have to. I think you need to give it a little more time.

check the label.
Like noma said... some have to be applied with the plants wet, so it will stick to the leafs ... :smile:KennyV

The label said you had to put it down on wet grass then it shouldn't rain for a couple days. It also said it's safe for pets to be on after it rains so I figured I should be seeing something happening after a couple days. I put it down Monday and there was no rain until today.

I have only used the spray kind before and with that stuff you can see the weeds wilting the next day. I just used the hose end sprayer kind which made it a pain to do the whole lawn so I thought I would try the granular kind.
