my mower was covered by flood water, no water got into the crank case. what do i need to do to get it running again. the mower is a 2015 badboy elite with a kasiakis engine !

I would say let it sit in the sun and dry out for a couple of days. Make sure you don't have water into the hydraulic system. Did it get into the fuel system, if so drain it and install fresh along with the engine oil..

If your battery was connected and underwater, anything electronic may have been fried. I had a friend whose car rolled into a pond, and insurance totaled it because of the damage to the electrical system. Replace the air filter, if submerged, it is ruined. I'm surprised no water got into the engine that way. Water could have gotten in via the muffler / exhaust pipe.

Mowers do not have computers in them unless they have a fuel injected engine.
All the electrics a simple sliding contact switches so a bit of water dispersant and they will be fine.
The ignition module is watertight
The hour meter is not and will most likely be deceased.

Normally you drain your fuel and oil from the unit asap . Then remove the spark plugs and turn over the engine to remove any water , otherwise you could hydrolock the engine and damage it . Then withn 12 hrs refill the oil with filter if applicable and refill fuel with conditioner and replace new spark plugs and start and let engine run for 30 minutes and listen and look for any abnormalities .
