Hi there, thanks for letting me join the group. I am looking at a Snapper Model m250819be today. I have not seen the motor tag yet. Seems to be in impeccable condition. I am very good at fixing things if need be. The seller is asking $400 and I just have no idea what these are worth. I've done hours of research, I hope you can help.
Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have a 250813BE that served my needs until I bought several lots adjacent to my house and needed a bigger mower. If it is in super shape like you mention I would take it, extremely reliable. I made a modification to mine, I added the anti-scalp wheels to the deck which makes a big difference on the finished cutting especially if you have some uneven parts. I also bought chains and the snow blade, this unit is a beast with the chains pushing snow! Stay away from their new model, if you read the reviews on the Snapper website they are not good! They should bring back this line of rear engine riders. I guess I am a Snapper hoarder, I own 3 of them!

Hi! Thanks for the help. I checked it out about an hour ago. It's pretty tight. Low hours, seems like an honest seller. It was his dad's, I met his dad and see why he does not need to be on a mower (respectfully). Everything about this man's house and lawn looked almost TOO perfect!!! I can tell he takes pride in his belongings. Looks like the motor was built in 2000 so the mower as a whole is not that old. The charging system was a tad on the week side, but it does have a series two streator so I can run some AC if needed. I'm guessing as it runs, the charging system will ramp up. It already seemed to as I was there. I did not bring my tach, but the motor seemed to be running at about 3200, if so, bringing it up to 3600 will be easy. Hopefully will go pick it up tonight
