Honda Mdl HRR2168VYA Self propelled mower..

It is self propelled and has a Smart Drive Control on the handle that is adjustable. The self propell feature is not working. Any idea of what the problem can be? I plan to take it in to authorized service dealer Monday.. thank you for reading and all replies...

first thing i would check is that drive belt is still on the engine pulley and trans pulley.
remove the spark plug wire if you mess around under the deck.

I looked at several you tube videos on this type of repair...is anyone able to provide a cost estimate for this type of repair? I looked up my owners manual and this mower is 8 yrs old. I can purchase a replacement with same features for apprx $550... I would rather repair if reasonable..I am in SC if that helps...thx
