Honda HF2315 cutting out

I've owned my Honda HF2315 since 2007. Generally no real problems until 2 months ago. With blades either engaged or not, the warning beep will suddenly sound continuously & the engine stops. The beep only stops when I switch off the ignition. The engine then starts again without any problem. This may happen 3 times during a 1 hour cut.
Any ideas as to what to check?

May be time for a major service.

Start with your owners handbook.
Usually only 2 things cause a beep
Low oil or full catcher

Thanks for your replies. The only mention in the handbook about the continuous beep states "the electronic card's protection device has cut in" & this could be due to a duff battery, poor battery connections or a "wet electronic card". Does anyone have an idea as to the location of this card & what it looks like?

PS The machine is always regularly serviced.
