I have three older Stihl chainsaws (as well as other saws I won't name.)

I don't really collect them -- as in restore them and put them on display -- but I'm always on the lookout for good deals on those saws since I use them a fair amount and it's nice to have spares.

i have some 2 man chainsaws one man chainsaws ones with bow bars and wright blade saws 2 i have them my brands in collection are homelite poulan mall stihl solo wright sears mono hoffco lombard remington disston titan strunk mcculloch pioneer clinton buy restoreing them i mean get them runing aginia and yes i show my collection off at steam and gas shows around virginia and run them thier and cut with them at them

About the two-man chainsaws: do you have any pictures of those that you could post? What are they used for?

I remember reading about early chainsaws -- many of those required two operators and were much heavier than any current saws.

2 man chainsaws came out befor the one man chainsaws did they sarted makeing 2 man chainsaws in 1926 yes they did take two operators two run that why they are called two man chainsaws the first guy is on the engine end will the outher one is on the stinger the stinger is what we call the helper handled they are fun 2 run i will get pics of me runing soon 2 show you all i run them at engine shows all over virginia

Thanks, timber -- I had heard about two-man saws but can't remember much except that some early chainsaws required two operators.

I think I prefer slightly more modern saws but I'm interested in the old ones.

where do you get parts cause i have an old
american lincoln lombard lightning 2 and i fried the
piston ring
in a really wierd way long story short

i need piston and a ring
