Fuel HHR2162 starts briefly want run

i have a HHR2162TDA mower. will not start and run continous. will run briefly with gas poured down spark plug hole.

I would bet your carb is gunked up. Also check your air filter. The 10% ethanol they put in almost all gas now is very hard on carburetors and fuel systems. After you get it straightened out check out pure-gas.org to find a close by gas station that sells non ethanol gas.
