Just sold my old 1986 John Deere 318 mower for and ordered a replacement ZT Big Dog Alpha. I am excited to get out there and cut the lawn this season, hopefully it wont be a monsoon this year like it was last year. The we moved in May, and had the wettest July on record, then it has rained every week since. Hopefully that means we will be able to get some of this grass to actually grow.

I was a little shocked that the dealer told me to expect the Alpha to last about 500 hours if I maintain it well. I guess I was spoiled with 1700 hours on the JD 318. They don't make them like that any more.
