can any one take me through fault finding as there is no spark i received the unit not working
they tryed to start it one day and it would not start they got down to and cleaned the contacts but did not help but has stood for 6 months out side
i have got a few pics hope they help
how do i go about fault finding through the mower as it has no spark
i tryed a quick screw driver conected to the plug cap and see if i can see a spark if held against/near the metal of the engine there was no spark

Yes if you post up the engine numbers...! but .020" should get you going.
If its been outside for 6 months in the UK then give the coil a good soak with WD40 and leave for a few hours, going by the photo's it could do with a clean up, make sure the breaker point plunger is moving, and that the magnets are good on the flywheel.

Start with a new set of points and condenser. They aren't that expensive and you will have less problems later on.

just to say to all thank looked and especially that commented to help THANKS
new condenser and points gaped and coil gaped
started with old fuel 8 months old but run bad
now started took apart fuel tank and carb and cleaned and sharpend blade
please see 2 vids
1st just started after new points
