Im rebuilding my kohler 25hp v-twin carburetor, i have a brass small piece i believe is a check valve that came out of a hose going from the acc.pump to the carb. below is a picture attachment of the item. is this piece directional or can it go in either direction? any help would be appreciated Thanks

I don't know what an acc, pump is but I have never seen a check valve that wasn't directional.

Just did one a few weeks ago. I don't remember it being directional. It looked more like a jet than a check valve.

the acc pump is im referring to is a Accelerator pump, sorry for not spelling it out early, Am i right about it going into the larger of the two hoses? (i believe it is the vacuum hose) from the carburetor.

Longer hose is correct. the short hose is about too short to install it into.
