I was amazed the other day to see a little hedgehog emerging from behind a pile of stones round the back of our porch steps. I appears to have made it's home there and I expect it will hibernate there too. I wonder if there is anything I can provide for it to make it more comfortable?
Hedgehogs are wonderful to have around. They can only eat a diet of meat and they mostly live off of insects. They do wonders for insect control. You may want to leave out a tin of cat or dog food for them as a treat every now and again.
