Hi,
I am fixing an old Old Sears Roto-Spade tiller with a Tecumseh 6hp vertical engine for somebody
Model Number: 143-216042
He took off the flywheel and took apart the magneto coil/condenser/point plate. He said they were bad.
The problem is that I cant find the part available anywhere. Need some help in finding some aftermarket part for it.
Part List Url: Error
Thanks!!

You won't find one. If you could find the correct Tecumseh parts, your guy wouldn't want to pay for it.

Ok,
Darn, Should I then tell the guy to scrap it?

Most parts are still available. Points are #30547A, condenser is #30548A and coil is #30560A. If you don't have the stator plate, to which these parts are mounted on, you should be able to find a used one at most repair shops. Here is a manual which should help you when you get to reassembly.

I am finding that the older engines its getting harder to find parts from the local dealers. With the internet and E-bay there hasn't been anything I haven't been able to find so far. Yes the price of parts are getting higher but so is everything else. You can also buy a new engine from HF for less then a 100 dollars.
