Hi - I replaced the battery and it started up but then died about 10 seconds later - rinse and repeat.
I then opened the oil cap and the fluid began running out - it was extremely viscus and smelled of gasoline.
I drained the fluid, replaced with 4 cycle, and now it won't start - it cranks away, just no fire.
Any tips?
I'm terrible with small engines so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

sounds like the needle failed in the carb, allowing gasoline into the crankcase.
You'll need to remove the carburetor and clean it and replace the needle. Or buy a new carb, whichever is easiest for you.
