Helping a friend out with the Pto not engaging. There is no voltage at pto connector under engine. Replaced pto switch and nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Might want to jumper safeties.

wish I had wiring diagram would be much better for checking.

A little update on the PTO not engaging. Not knowing the previous owner had jumped out the reverse switch so he could mow in reverse. The jumper wire fell out of the reverse switch connector. Without the reverse switch connected cable was open circuit as if the reverse switch was made. Hope this post update will save someone some trouble.

Thanks for the update, thought it sounded like a safety problem.

There are many incidences of defeating the PTO clutch functional safety in reverse.
