I have a John Deer L110 w/ a Kohler 17.5 HP engine. It was pushing oil out the exhaust. I tore it apart honed out the cylinder, put new rings and reassembled.
started it up and it is still pushing the oil, seems like excessive crankcase pressure. any suggestions,

Did you put in a new headgasket when you replaced the rings? It could also be the valve guides.
