I have almost finished re-working my old Briggs & Stratton, but there was one issue. The starting clutch would not go back on correctly. Any ideas? I have researched the issue, but nothing comes up.
Usual reason is the shaft getting bent or mushroomed over from pullers used to remove the flywheel.
There is SFA clearence between the shaft & the inside of the clutch so very little deformation will prevent the clutch from being fitted
dont throw in the towel so quickly...snap a photo and post it here...also listen to what Bert posted........geeze, everyone gives up so quickly these days
