Just joined this forum and have gotten so much great info. For some reason, people keep giving me Lawn Boys that they no longer want or aren't running. The newest one is probably 1995 and the oldest is 1973. I enjoy tinkering with them and getting them going again. I am not mechanically inclined as you will see from the following incident: In 1974 I was attending grad school while still living with my parents. My younger brother (2 yrs) was in the local technical college for auto/diesel mechanics. I had a 1972 Mustang that needed a new set of points so at supper I asked my brother if he could help me change points that evening. He said he could and I told him I had a date set for 7:30 and could WE get this done in time. He asked me if I was going to help and I said "certainly." He then said, "it should take US about 50 minutes to do that, but if you don't help I can have them done in 15 minutes!!"
I am learning to tackle items that used to scare me and actually getting them put back together and running without having pieces left over. I'm sure you will hear from me again because I don't think my brother will help me anymore! Fantastic Site!!!!
