Grease question new to me Turf tiger

I'm In the process of going over my Turf Tiger (STT61V-791DFI)
Bought last end of season with 475 hours & am having the time of my life mowing around the farm.
So far, oil change, hydro oil change, gear box gear oil change, & related filters.
I've greased the zerks.

My question:
The front wheel spindles have 9/32 hex plugs that look like a grease fitting should be there.
Is that a greasable spot?
Does anybody install & leave fittings there?

They are for grease, the dealer told me they were replaced with a plug because the getting broken off,
When I put them in my Tiger Cat to grease I'm going to leave them there,
Seems if breaking was the problem Scag would have put them on the backside.

It seemed a no brainer, but didn't want to assume & screw it up.
I have a box of spare zerks & a good set of extractors if the need arises.

All the Toros arrive that way down here as well.
Nuts ar cheaper than nipples is closer to the truth.

Check your manual for the interval that they are supposed to be greased. Seems like it is like 500 hours. They are that way because if you over grease them you will blow the seals. Therefore they have to be removed, greased and put back in. If not folks would grease them too much...

Also they are located where they are easy to break off therefore it is easier to just take them back out and put the plug back in...

Makes you wonder why Scag didn't put them on the back side of the spindle.
