I have two gravely zero turn mowers. The ZT2552HD I bought used and the deck middle spindle was torn out. The spindle bearings were bad and the vibration tor the spindle completely out. I brought it to a friend that is a great welder and he fixed it. I them changed all spindles, belts, pulleys, changed the oil in the engine and the hydro units. The unit cuts great. The dealer told me they recommend Mobile 1, 15w 50 in the hydro units. The manual says the same thing. I have seen discussions about this? What seems to be the problem?
No problems .
There is a lot of discussions about the benefits of synthetic oils in mower ENGINES.
Use what is recommended in the hydros.
A hydro has a finite life a dirty little secret that is never told to the purchaser.
