Hi all,

First post on this forum. I am a new owner of a Gravely ZT-34 with the Kohler 6000 Series (KT620) 21HP engine. I am going to do my first oil change this weekend and am having trouble finding an oil drain extension tube for this engine. Any ideas on what part to use? Or the very least what size tubing to use so I can make my own? Thanks in advance!

I have the 24hp Kohler and just got the Drainzit pn. Stan1438.

Overall length is 14". I've heard for ease of install into the engine oil drain hole, two 2ea. brass 3/8" NPT Nipples need to be threaded together to extend the fittings past the external recesses of the engine case castings.

A project for this afternoon-I'll take a few photos so everyone can see what I'm talking about.

It ain't no fun easy project. Will require more than just the extension hose kit. Nipples, couplings, elbow? There isn't much room to mess with.

Yup, what he said, above. It was a major pain in the rectum. Poor design, drain hole in block recessed, not much room. Nipples, couplings, elbows, cutting torch ????
