Any suggestions on how to get access to the inside of the left-hand console to replace the ignition switch? Unfortunately, the two videos I found on YouTube for other models don't seem to apply. One shows reaching up from under the console. The other shows bolts that aren't present on the 2548XL. The control panel in the 2548XL appears to be pop-riveted into a molded plastic console. Do I have to drill out the pop rivets?

Hmm.. The PartsTree drawing suggests that the bolts are accessed from the inside of the frame. I'll have to see if I can get my hand up the access hole.

Yes those are plastic rivets.

Gravely 06830000 RIVET PLASTIC .195 D

Since are plastic rivets you should be able use a proper size pin punch to punch out the rivet anvil head and then pry out the rivets. just be careful not to punch a hole in the tank.

Note I have not done this as I have yet to ran across these rivets but it makes sense to me.

Thank you. I'll order some new rivets and give it a shot.
