Are the lift channels on the grasshopper mowers supposed to be loose? While mowing they rattle around and make a lot of noise. I don't think these are supposed to be very tight but have nothing to compare it to. I'll try to get video of this later today. Attached is what I'm talking about. They are on a 9661 mower deck.

i'd start by checking to see if those 2 nuts are still on, or loose on the bolts...

The nuts are still on them. I do not have the nuts tight up against the channel though only because if it was I think the channel would bind when raising and lowering the deck.
