I have a 1999 2x4 Gator. I put a new carb. on it It runs a lot better but it has what I call a lifter rattle when I start it and under a load and it will smoke on and off. It's like the older model cars use to do when low octane fuel was put in them. I have heard diesel engines do this. Any help would be much appreciated.
First check air filter. Purchase a bottle of John Deere fuel treatment & mix per instructions on bottle with 93 octane gas & let us know how it goes, thanks, Mark
