With that amount of acreage I would say diesel all the way. B-series Kubota with tow behind mower.

Having hard time finding someone down here that sells zero turn diesels, only gas .So I guess my questlon is what brand to get and should it be a diesel??

Scrub beat me to the website I was going to suggest you read. Up to date reviews. Then you can make a much better decision. Personally even though I’m a Toro guy, I would take a serious look at Kubota.

I would take that article with a grain of salt.
For instance: "Diesel mower saves 700 gallons of fuel every day, and it saves money for the long term. " and "Cummins engines have a displacement of 2.8 to 95 liters. "
700 gallons saved per day? It must be the 95 liter engine.
