My JD L110 get gas in the crankcase. all the time running or parked and shut off. Why?

The needle valve in the carb isn't sealing allowing the carb to overflow and fill the engine with gas which would normally be in the fuel tank. You will need to remove the carb, clean, and install a carb repair kit, make sure carb isn't still leaking and then change oil.
