Hello folks,
We have all had a mower will not crank or just randomly cuts off and loses all power in the middle of mowing.
If you ever run into this problem, simply replacing the power fuse is not a long-term solution.
I have often found that the fuse holder has weak or corroded retainer pins creating heat and high resistance.
Yes, I have also tried the dab of valve lapping compound on the metal tip of the fuse and then scrub the terminals to clean them. Once again. that is not a long-term solution.
Most fuse holder pins have a thin protective coating on them from the factory, but the coating fails with age and weather exposure.
The permanent fix is to replace the fuse holder with a new or used good quality one.
