why does the fuel vacuum pump leak from center for john deere z225, the nozzle marked P on the pump does go to the vacuum line? I switch to a new pump same problem, help.

thx, will look at oil level if blown head gasket will make it a garden lawn art.

quick check for a blown head gasket is to start it, and let it warm up/operating temperature, shut it down, and pull the dipstick, if you get whisps of smoke from the tube, most likely the head gasket is blown.

They were a good little mower and a head gasket is not expensive nor difficult to replace .
