Front wheel or Rear Wheel drive

Got my mind set on a new mower but just wondering what the benefits to font or rear wheel drive in a walk behind?

I've had both and prefer rear wheel drive. My yard is mostly flat, what slope I have is safe to mow across or up and down. I have found that the front drives "hunt and weave" on the slopes where the rear drives track straighter. Also, with a rear bagger, as the bag fills, the weight transfer decreases the front wheel traction and increases the rear wheel traction. Mechanically it depends on the quality; a good front wheel drive will probably outlast a cheaply made rear wheel drive.

it's also easier to manouver a rear drive mower around tight areas while doing 'wheelies' and having power to the rear wheels to assist you.

I'm a rear drive wheel kind of guy as well. I also like castering front wheels on my rear wheel drive walk behind mower.

I'm with the rear wheel group ... for all the above reasons.

I've got steep hills, and nothing beats the traction of rear wheel drive, until they come out with all wheel drive.

Exactly what I am thinking of, but the 30" Toro has not these castered wheels.
Ariens does , but no 30" , nor a Personal Pace.
I've owned both front and rear and no-power assist.
It all depends on the terrain.
I need a rugged unit...its not a true lawn, but a field "converted" to a lawn.
