So, I bought a (woods) Grasshopper mower 721D 1994ish with a 60" deck.
I have a Craftsman gt-5000 54" deck that has a bagger (3 sac).
I am thinking of putting the bagger off the craftsman onto the grasshopper, but instead of mounting the bags at the rear mount them lengthwise along the side so the tube doesnt have to be longer (may be shorter). Then come in the short end of the top cap above the bags instead of in the normal position.
Do you think the deck will have enough airflow to push the grass up the tube? The factory grasshopper ones use another blower but they are going a lot higher and further, (and cost a lot)
I am thinking I would like to sell the craftsman is my reason in doing this, but want a bagger for when I mow around the Church. Maby twice a month 1/2 acre of watered blue grass. Everything else I do is just weeds and buffallo grass, no bagger required.
