Foldable/Collapsable Mower Recommendations

Greetings!

I own a number of rental properties and need a gas mower with a handle that can easily fold or collapse for transport in a 2013 Hyundai Accent hatchback. The mower must have some sort of "quick-fold" mechanism, as I do not want to loosen or tighten bolts. I want something basic, no drive train or other bells and whistles. The lighter, the better as I am lifting it in and out of the hatch. I am willing to buy online but prefer to buy in-store. Something like Toro's "smart stow" mechanism would be great except that I want a lighter mower without a self-propelled motor.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, and do let me know if you'd like any additional information. Thanks for your time!

I doubt you are going to find a mower to meet all your needs. You are looking for a cheap mower with an expensive handle. They're not made that way. You are going to have to change some of your expectations.

Thanks for your input. Can you recommend a mower tat will do what I require? I'm happy to pay for something that works properly.

Most of today's mowers have a one piece handle, which is going to be the biggest problem you are going to encounter. Being a Toro guy, I would recommend the smart stow model. You can disable the self propel very easily, which will then give you the push mower you want. You must also remember that the lighter the unit, the cheap it is to construct. Constantly lifting it in and out of the vehicle will mean more flexing of a cheap, light deck and it will not last very long.
