I have a 2005 LT1046 Cub Cadet lawn tractor. It cuts StAugstene grass fine but leaves some stick-ups on tougher grasses such as Bahia and Dallas. Does anyone know of a non-standard blade that would help with this problem?

It's the tip of the blades which does most of the work. It's also the tip which gets rounded off and dull first. Try new standard blades and carefully sharpen it by hand.
Blade tip speed also does matter. Where you have the most problems, go slower on the ground speed and faster on the engine RPMs.
Third, follow the manual directions for leveling the mower deck side-to-side and front-to-back. The slight downward tilt at the front is critical to getting a smooth, even cut.
