Friend of mine has a large acreage with a lot of trees, I have been cutting there for years. I find trees that are dying or damaged & use them for firewood. This spring a tornado knocked down a couple big Red Oak trees so I went out for those this morning, a little hot but oh well. My two saws a John Deere CS56 & a Stihl MS290 were sharpened with my, new to me, Granberg File & Joint G160B, now that is truly a fine sharpener, it not only sharpens the chain but cuts down the rakers as well. I cut for three hours trading off from one saw to the other & never had any fine sawdust even on these dry hard trees. Saws this good with chains this sharp sent me to the house with a pickup full of seasoned wood & my butt dragging. By the way the sharpener only cost me $12.99 as it was used but I think used very little as it is a tight as new.:thumbsup: Only 4 more trips & I am set for winter but I will wait for cooler weather. Now I have to rehydrate this afternoon after all the sweating. :drink:
