Last night we got nearly an inch of rain & this morning the sun is out. Supposed to reach mid 70s today, that will get the grass growing. Supposed to rain again Monday. I may sound a little overboard about some rain, but the last two summers have been he!!, so hot & dry, might be a better summer as the last two years we missed the spring rains.

Yeah we have gotten a good amount of rain over the past month and today it is going to get up to 56 degrees and be sunny so that will definitely encourage the grass. March has been so cold here! It was windy and cold everyday of the month except for like 2 days!! :confused2:

Well the weatherman was close to right, it rained Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday, a total of 3 inches. I have lived here a long time but this is the first time in 20 years that it has rained more than 1 day or so, just wonderful, this and the rain from the other day makes over 4 inches of badly needed moisture.

Now the weatherman is calling for rain next Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, should that happen, our drought may be on the way out.:smile:

Just to update everyone on the terrible drought we have had for the last few years, well it is over for sure. With the rain we have gotten recently we were doing pretty good but last night proved to be the jackpot. If you don't mind dodging tornados, huge hail & 80 mph winds, the plus side is my rain gauge holds 6 inches & it was full, there were many reports of 7 to 8 inches of rain in the state. Many ponds that have been very low for years are now running over the spillways.:thumbsup: I hope the weather pattern has changed for the good.

It rained 0.09" in Ellis county so now those people in OKC that determined to drain Canton lake can start carrying water back up hill in buckets to fill the lake. That's the only lake in the western portion of the state for those residents recreation and the idiots on the water resources board in OKC decides to take it rather than having anyone conserve water.

I'm starting to think spring is not avalable for my area this year.:confused2:
There's still at least a foot of snow everywere,no bare ground in sight.
Got another 3" of snow overnight, temp still below 0 c at night, barely + 5 c during the day, at this rate it's gonna be mid may before i see grass again.
Fully 5 weeks late

I suspect you will have some above average high temps that will put you where you need to be. Soon you will be posting pics of buffalo in the act of procreating ( having sex..... for you canucks).

The weather has been very favorable here. Normally I dread the onset of summer, but this year we have been getting some rain and everything is green and lush. Today highs were in the high 70's lows in the 60's. I might need to put the mower on the tractor a month early.
Why don't you come for a visit? You should get away from the cold and catch some fish go for a swim. The girls are wearing bikinis here, you can see them from the truck while driving across the bridge.
Has anyone ever worn a bikini in Peace river? I don't think sooooo:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:
