Question, I just noticed a hole in the housing for the battery. It's on the side next to the muffler and it appears that it was caused from the heat of the muffler. I'm preexisting sure this should not be happening. I purchased the mower last year brand new. Any suggestions.

Call the dealer and see if there is a recall.

I was surprised to hear this because my older Procut the battery isn't near the muffler. So I was looking at some newer models. The only thing I can think of doing is make a heat shield? Yes you should talk to the dealer about this because they may have a fix.
