I have a ferris mower with a 17 hp Kawasaki motor, its charging 13 volts at idle and with it wide up 12 volts with or without blades on , it seems backwards to me, id think it would put out more wide open then at idle
I think it should be charging 14+ volts. Could be faulty regulator or bad connection somewhere. I had a bad connection within my fuse box. I remove the box and installed two inline fuses. gregjo1948
