Ferris IS 3100 Front Shocks

Greetings All!

I have a 2014 Ferris IS 3100Z (72” deck) that needs a front shock absorber. Unfortunately, the 4-year warranty ended in May 2018 and the best price that I have found for the shock (Ferris part # 5023383) is about $125. I recently paid that much for a pair of coil over shocks for my truck!

Does anyone know if there is a Monroe or similar shock manufacturer’s cross reference part?

Look for motorcycle shocks.

I think they buy the shock from another manufacturer and it might have other applications. I would take it off and take it to a motorcycle/atv shop and see if there is a match.

Thanks - will give it a try.

Just an update - I had no luck at my motorcycle/atv shop. Their shocks were either too long/short or were much stiffer/softer than the stock Ferris front coil over shock.

Thanks for the tip, however the part listed on eBay is not for the 72" deck (unfortunately). Still haven't found one.
