Ferris Hydro Drive Problem

I have a 12 year old Ferris IS1500Z that developed leaks in both right side wheel motor to pump hoses. A local hose shop made me all four hoses and I replaced them today, as well as the hydro filter. After adding oil, I jacked up the rear and ran it for a few minutes to check the level and noticed the wheels were not going in the same direction. The right side was correct, the left wrong. I determined the left side was reversed at the pump so I changed those. it is still moving opposite from the right wheel. According to the parts diagram that came with the mower, they are installed correct. Also, I marked the hose positions as I removed them and transferred the locations to the new ones.

Am I missing something? At first I thought it was like my car - while on jack stands, rear wheels rotate opposite of each other while free wheeling.

Any help would be appreciated!
