Ok here is what I have done.
Replaced ignition switch
Replaced solenoid
Removed, cleaned, reinstalled coil
Replaced spark plug
Drained old gas
I have spark and fuel but it won't fire.
What have I not done correct?
It ran fine last week! Went to start it today and it wouldn't do anything. Battery was a few years old so I put in a new one. Still nothing. Replaced solenoid, still nothing. Replaced ignition switch, engine turns over fine but won't fire. Checked spark plug and was not getting fire. Removed and cleaned connections of coil. Put back on and I now get fire, but still won't start. Replaced spark plug and drained gas, still won't start. HELP!!!!
Could this be a fuel issue? The fuel pump is working fine, but maybe the carb needs a good cleaning? I have been using fuel with ethanol, draining it and getting 100% gas, and going to give carb a good cleaning. Hope that works.
