I have a Tecumseh 17.5 hp rider engine. As I run the engine at low speed or high speed the engine rpm keeps moving up and down. The engine will also do this under load. Does someone know what the problem could be.:confused

I think you are saying that the engine surges or hunts, no matter what speed you run it at. If I am correct, my advice is to clean and rebuild the carb, making sure you replace the float needle and seat.

Iｴm agree with Rivets. The problem may be the fuel flow in the carb and try with the mix screw.:thumbsup:

I would have to agree with both of them. Clean and replace.
