engine replacement

I have a Sabre riding mower 15/42 15 horsepower with a 42 inch cut - 2 blades. I would like to replace the B&S engine with a larger one at least 17 horse power or more. Are these engines basically the same with the same mounting holes. The larger engine mowers appear to be exactly the same size.

Post the model numbers for both engines. We can cross them for you, to see if it will work. More worried about crank size.
